Band Lateral Raise
Standing on a resistance band, raise the arms out to the sides to shoulder height. It trains the side delts, and the band adds tension as the arms rise. Choose it for side delt work at home or while travelling.

How to do it
- Stand on the middle of the band with feet hip-width and grip one end in each hand at your sides.
- Bend the elbows slightly and keep that bend through the set.
- Set the shoulders down away from your ears and brace the core.
- Raise the arms out to the sides, leading with the elbows.
- Stop at shoulder height and pause for one count.
- Lower under control until the band is almost slack.
Watch for
- Shrugging as the band gets tight near the top.
- Leaning back or swinging to finish the rep.
- Hands rising above the elbows at the top.
Breathing
Exhale as you raise the arms, inhale as you lower them.
Tip
Stand on the band with one foot or bring the feet closer to make it lighter; a wider stance makes it harder.
