Connect SmartReps to your AI assistant
Connect SmartReps to ChatGPT, Claude, or Claude Code, and ask about your workouts or log them straight from a chat.
What it can do
Once connected, these tools are available to the assistant. It always acts as you, on your own account.

How to connect
Pick your assistant, paste one address, and sign in with your SmartReps account (the same login as the app).
Claude (web and desktop)
In claude.ai or the Claude desktop app:
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector.
- Paste the address below and save.
- Click Connect, sign in with your SmartReps account, and approve access.
- In a chat, open the + menu, choose Connectors, and turn SmartReps on.

ChatGPT needs its Developer mode turned on first (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu plans, on the web).
- Open Settings, then Connectors, then Advanced, and turn on Developer mode.
- Back in Connectors, click Create to add a connector.
- Name it SmartReps and paste the address below.
- Choose to sign in, log in with your SmartReps account, and approve access.
- In a chat, turn on the SmartReps connector from the tools menu.

Add SmartReps from your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http smartreps https://mcp.smartreps.app/mcpThen open a Claude Code session, run /mcp, pick smartreps, and choose Authenticate to sign in through your browser.
Check it works
Ask your assistant something like “Summarize my recent SmartReps workouts.” It should ask to use SmartReps, then answer from your real data.
If it's not working
- Won't connect? Close and reopen the app (or the Claude Code session) and try again. A long-running session is the usual cause.
- The assistant can't see SmartReps? Make sure it's turned on for the current chat, then start a fresh one.
- Sign-in didn't stick? Remove the connector, add it again, and sign in once more.
