How to do it
- Step onto the machine and start at an easy step rate.
- Stand tall with only a light fingertip touch on the rails.
- Place the whole foot on each step and drive through the heel.
- Hold the planned pace for the whole interval.
- Slow the step rate gradually before stopping.
Watch for
- Leaning on the rails and unloading the legs.
- Hunching forward over the console.
- Taking half steps on the toes only.
Breathing
Breathe rhythmically and keep the pace low enough to hold your posture.
Tip
If you need the rails to keep up, the pace is too fast.
