How to do it

- Brace the core and keep the hips level with the shoulders.
- Drive one knee toward the chest while the other leg stays long.
- Switch legs in a quick, even rhythm.
- Keep the shoulders stacked over the wrists the whole time.
- Hold the pace only as long as the hips stay quiet.
Watch for
- Hips rising into a pike as fatigue sets in.
- Bouncing the weight back away from the hands.
- Shoulders drifting behind the wrists.
Breathing
Breathe in short steady breaths matched to the leg rhythm.
Tip
Slow the tempo before you shorten the knee drive.
