Muscles worked
Equipment
Ski erg

How to do it
- Stand facing the machine with feet hip-width and grip the handles overhead.
- Start the pull by crunching the torso and driving the elbows down.
- Pull the handles past the hips while the knees bend slightly.
- Return tall with long arms in one smooth motion.
- Hold a steady stroke rate for the planned interval.
- Ease the pace down before stopping.
Watch for
- Pulling with the arms only instead of the whole torso.
- Rounding the back without using the hips.
- Stroke rate climbing while power drops.
Breathing
Exhale on the pull down, inhale as you return tall.
Tip
Think of it as a hinge with arms: the core and lats drive, the arms finish.
